The Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern will play an active role in the development of Breaking Media’s online communities – Above the Law, Fashionista, Dealbreaker, amongst others. The intern will maintain Breaking Media presence on various social media and digital platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to its readership.
The intern will regularly publish, analyze, and report on campaigns on the website, social media, email newsletters, and podcast platform. The intern will learn how to reach and engage digital communities for Breaking Media’s events and/or advertising clients.
Responsibilities:
- Post updates, news, branded content on Facebook and Twitter.
- Research articles, stories, resources for editorial, or branded content campaigns.
- Strategize social campaigns to increase followers and interactions.
- Maintain current information across all social and digital platforms.
- Organize and archive media library for editorial and content teams.
- Reporting on editorial and content campaigns by leveraging Google Analytics, Parsely, Twitter, Facebook, and Hubspot.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Creative and collaborative.
- Familiarity with digital platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, WordPress, Hubspot
Hours: 10-20 per week. $12 per hour to start.
