Above the Law’s parent company, Breaking Media, is looking for a Research and Custom Content Manager. The Research and Custom Content Manager will collaborate closely with our writers, editors, account executives, and clients in support of multiple editorial and research projects. Successful candidates will possess strong writing skills and demonstrable interest in industry research, project management, data journalism, and native content creation. Knowledge of the legal industry a major plus.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem solving, and project management skills, extreme attention to detail, and a high level of comfort working directly with clients and diverse internal teams in a fast-paced environment using an array of reporting, analytics, CRM, publishing and project management tools.

The account manager works directly with:

  • Editorial and research teams, to develop native/custom content
  • Internal sales and business development teams, to plan campaigns
  • Clients, to ensure that they are satisfied with the execution and performance of their campaigns

Responsibilities

  • Project manage, deploy, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize and report research projects that will be published on Breaking Media sites.
  • Ideate, research, write, and edit native/sponsored content campaigns, custom research, rankings, events and quizzes.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a core requirement
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (identifying problems, finding and implementing solutions) and keen attention to detail at all times
  • Strong project management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort learning and using diverse web-based publishing tools (like WordPress, Mailchimp and Hubspot), project management tools (like Basecamp and Google Calendars), and reporting tools (like Google Analytics)
  • Extra points for knowledge of campaign management tools like DFP, HTML, WordPress CMS, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Parse.ly, Qualtrics
