Here are some of the most popular advertising options available to you including our banners, homepage takeovers and skins, newsletter sponsorships section sponsorships, post sponsorships, webvertorials and quicklistings. But we are always happy to create custom units, too. Just contact David Minkin (phone 212 334 1871 ext. 1) or Elyse DiPierri (phone 212 334 1871 ext. 2) to discuss your needs and how we can meet them. We offer a host of other services, too, such as recruitment advertising, database or list building, research and custom content.

Banners

All banners are sold on a CPM* basis. We offer discounts based on the volume of your buy.

Unit Dimensions (in pixels) Rate
Box (above the fold) 300×250 $20
Box (below the fold) 300×250 $5
Big box 300×600 $30
Leaderboard 728×90 $15
Interrupter 560×200 $20
Newsletter skyscraper 160×600 $30

CPM stands for “cost per thousand impressions.” To have your ad appear 500,000 times at a CPM of $10 would cost $5,000 (500,000 impressions * $10 / 1000).

The minimum buy for any campaign is $2,500 per month.

Sponsored content

To inquire about sponsored posts, site skins, and sponsorship of regularly occurring editorial columns, please contact advertising@breakingmedia.com.

Webvertorials (Fashionista only)

$4,000 per post.

Webvertorials, written by the Fashionista staff, are posts that tout a product, service, or event. They have the look and feel of a normal Fashionista post. No more than one webvertorial is published per day, and all webvertorials are tagged as paid advertisements in order
to avoid reader confusion.

Quicklistings

$250 per listing.

Quicklistings are small blurbs with an image (250 characters text, 4 lines max, 76×62 max image size) that can tout an event, product or service. Quicklistings are published in the main blogflow of the site. As posts are published throughout the day the Quicklistings will move down the page and will always reside in our archives (like any other post). Quicklistings are restricted to just one per day per site. You can see examples of previous Quicklistings at http://abovethelaw.com/quicklisting/.
