It’s December 19, 2011 and yet this happened today: A fashion magazine out of the Netherlands published a story on how to dress like Rihanna. The headline? “De Niggabitch.” Really.

Here’s the full excerpt from Jackie magazine, translated by Parlour magazine:

“She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat. Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate niggabitch and displays that gladly, and for her that means: what’s on can come off. If that means she’ll be on stage half naked, then so be it. But Dutch winters aren’t like Jamaican ones [Ed. note: Rihanna is not Jamaican], so pick a clothing style in which your daughter can resist minus ten. No to the big sunglasses and the pornheels, and yes to the tiger print, pink shizzle and everything that glitters. Now let’s hope she won’t beat anybody up at daycare.”

Wait. What? TheYBF asked one of their Dutch readers if, by some chance, that word meant something different in the Netherlands. Nope. “The term means exactly what it means in English,” the reader said. “The problem with Dutch people is that often they know exactly what they are saying but as soon as someone confronts them about it we are being too sensitive and wasn’t meant to be offensive…This is not a ‘fashionsta’ term, we say bitch here as well and it means exactly the same as in English, as well as ‘nigga.’ No different meaning whatsoever.” So that clears that up.

As upsetting and hurtful and straight-up stupid as this article is, EIC Eva Hoeke’s “apology” letter, posted on the magazine’s Facebook page, is almost more infuriating…

Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but the girl shows up for work. She touched down in Sydney yesterday with sis Khloe to promote the launch of a line of Kardashian Kollection bags exclusive to Australia (the designer/entrepreneur the sisters worked with on their Sears kollection, Bruno Schiavi, is a Sydney native). Only, maybe her head’s not all right following her filing for divorce and the entire world calling her marriage a sham, because instead of karrying Kardashian Kollection to promote her line, she was snapped carrying Balenciaga.

Funny choice of designer, actually. One of our favorite Aussie fashion writers, Frockwriter, points out that one of the bags in the Kardashian Kollection handbag range is an obvious Balenciaga knock off. Of course, it’s not the first time the Kardashians have been accused of knocking of a handbag. Monica Botkier sent a cease and desist letter to Sears after the Kardashian Kollection knocked off her 2009 ‘Trigger Clyde’ bag.

Kanye West showed his debut collection tonight in Paris. The show was easily one of the most buzzed about of the week and he wrangled an impressive front row, with designers outweighing celebrities. Based on reports from Twitter and Eric Wilson’s just-posted write-up on the Times‘ blog On the Runway, Azzedine Alaïa, Joseph Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, Olivier Theyskens, Dean and Dan Caten, Jeremy Scott and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were all there. The right editors were there too: Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Glenda Bailey and Anna Dello Russo. As for the celebrities who showed? La Lohan was there, as we reported, and so was Ciara, but sadly Beyonce and Jay-Z were no-shows. Or maybe, not so sadly, considering the show was slammed by critics almost as soon as the first model hit the runway.

We’ll have our review posted tomorrow morning (our fabulous contributor, Flaunt’s Long Nguyen, was one of the lucky 100 granted a ticket). Until then, here’s what the critics had to say about it over Twitter. Warning, it’s not pretty.

People Mag shelled out $1.5 million for the exclusive rights to run the first photos from America’s ‘Royal Wedding’ and a site called Glamazonsblog (that we found via the Gloss) took the time to scan them onto the internet for all of us to gawk at.

Here’s a look at the three (yes three) wedding dresses Kim wore, plus more close-up photos of the beaming bride and groom, snaps of the bridal party and celebrity guests, and detail shots of Kim’s millions in bling (according to the New York Post she was wearing $10 million in diamonds). Which one of Kim’s Vera Wang gowns do you like best?

Finally, a look at Karl Lagerfeld‘s much-hyped capsule collection for Macy’s ‘Impulse’ department. Macy’s offered up a preview of the full line last night at a gallery space in SoHo wallpapered with black and white photos of the Kaiser looking awfully serious (as he usually does) and campaign images featuring the always-stunning Coco Rocha photographed by Lagerfeld in his library in Paris.

The 45 piece collection is comprised of flirty dresses–some feminine and floral, others crisper and more severe–thick tweedy separates (shorts and vests) and faux leather jackets. The simpler black and white dresses with sharp white collars stood out (they seemed the most Chanel-like) but my prediction is that the soft slouchy tees printed with Lagerfeld’s image, priced at $49, will fly off the racks.

“To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the US where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget,” Lagerfeld said in a release. The collection is priced between $50 to $170 and goes on sale at 235 Macy’s across the nation and on macys.com on August 31 (set a reminder).

Take a look. Do you love it? Do you hate it? Will you be camping outside Macy’s on August 30 wearing a necklace like this (yes someone was really wearing that at the preview, it’s by Yazbukey)?

Sao Paulo might not be one of the big four fashion cities, but when it comes to swimwear, Brazil is second to none. Brazilians dress for the beach like it’s the red carpet–the suits here are just as glitzy and glamorous as evening gowns, only much (much) more revealing (they don’t call it the Brazilian wax for nothing). Many labels showed last week at Fashion Rio, and more showed this past week at Sao Paulo fashion week.

As one Brazilian fashion writer put it, swimwear is Brazil’s haute couture. Here’s why. (Also if you need any motivation to go to the gym, this is it.)

If you thought botox mom was bad, now hear this: 50-year-old Brit Sarah Burge, known as the “Human Barbie” for her addiction to plastic surgery (she’s spent over $800,000 on procedures), is passing on her passion for plastic to her seven-year-old daughter Poppy.

Burge, a party planner and–per the Daily News–an “erotic novelist,” made headlines last year for teaching Poppy to pole dance. Now Burge is racking up column inches again for giving her daughter a $9,850 voucher for a boob job as a seventh birthday present. According to the Daily Mail, Burge told British mag Closer, “Poppy begged me for a boob job, so I gave her the voucher so she can have it after she’s 16, when it’s legal.” Poppy reportedly “squealed with delight” upon opening her present, saying “I can’t wait to be like Mummy with big boobs. They’re pretty.”

Shocked? Appalled? Throwing up a little bit in your mouth? Don’t worry! Burge has preemptively addressed your concerns.

Transsexual model Lea. T‘s supermodel star keeps rising. The Brazilian model has cornered the high fashion market landing editorials in Vogue Paris, walking for Givenchy, covering LOVE magazine (liplocked with Kate Moss as well as a solo cover), and now her success has gone mainstream. Lea T. became a household name following a compelling appearance on Oprah, and now she’s landed a swimwear campaign for one of Brazil’s biggest swimwear lines.

Made in Brazil blog captured none other than Terry Richardson shooting Lea T. and a bevy of male models for Brazilian swim label Blue Man at the beach in Ipanema. Lea T. will also walk in the Blue Man show tomorrow at Fashion Rio, marking her first runway appearance in swim. To our knowledge, it’s the first time a transsexual model has featured in a major swim campaign.

Warning: this gallery is NSFW. That’s not safe for your wallet. That was bad, I know, but seriously, the shoes from Miu Miu’s fall collection were so crazy good that now that the label has released their fall accessories look book, we felt they deserved their own spotlight. These are some fantasy high fashion barbie kicks and even Lauren, who is averse to all thinks glittery, was swayed by how “insanely awesome” they are.

Mrs. O! Kate Middleton! Together! In the same room!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are back from their 10-day honeymoon in the Seychelles and for their first royal engagement they met with President Obama and the First Lady. So what did two of the most influential women in style wear to meet each other?

If you thought Kate would ditch her high street standbys for designer dresses now that she’s a Duchess and doing things like meeting the President and First Lady, think again. She looks gorgeous (and quite thin) in a simple $340 camel bandage dress called the Shola, from one of her favorite brands, Reiss. Kate famously wore Reiss in her official engagement portraits. We’re predicting the Shola sells out by the end of the day. At 9 a.m. the Shola was available online. An hour later, it’s impossible to find the dress on Reiss’ site. [Update: the dress has sold out online but is still available in store, though we hear from Reiss PR that stores are being flooded with calls for the dress.]
